VA Unfunded Requirements Prioritization Management System (UFRPMS)
Project Description
The UFRPMS was the first UFR management tool within VA that allowed for requirements gathering, defining a set of criteria, scientific prioritization, funding allocation decisions, and archiving. The goal was to improve the management of both OIT and VA enterprise-wide shortfalls, as well as satisfying Congressional requirements for budgetary funds control.
Technology Used
- All programming code were housed in individual files within SharePoint’s file system
- Each program was controlled through a variety of JavaScript files, and data is exchanged through JSON objects
- Both systems shared common functionality through proprietary and local JavaScript-based library files
- SharePoint Lists were used for data storage
- Other SharePoint services included document library, email services and user validation through Active Directory
